Maren was born in 1988.
She started her musical education quite early.
First she started the piano and later on she received accordion lessons. In addition to that she also started to learn the trumpet.
In 2003 she decided to stop playing trumpet and started to play euphonium.
Both with the piano and the euphonium she won several competitions (e.g. the German national competition “Jugend musiziert” or the "Van Bremen Wettbewerb")as a soloist but also as an excellent accompanist or ensemble member.
Maren gained experience in a couple of wind and BrassBands like the JungeBläserPhilharmonie NRW, the wind ensemble "Westfalen Winds" or the "Folkwang BrassBand", or in the Brass Band of the National Youth BrassBand of Great Britain.
Maren took part in a couple of masterclasses on the piano as well as on the euphonium. As a participant of the masterclasses she was taught by: Dr. David King, Steven Mead, Prof. Thomas Clamor and Prof. Peter Feuchtwanger.
In 2006 she started to study education and music at the Folkwang Conservatory in Essen. Her main subjects are music and English. Her euphonium teacher is Ulrich Haas and Maren also receives lessons from Prof. Thomas Günther on the piano.
